The Parish Council are delighted to welcome our new Parish Cllr, Ian Kearsey to the council. Ian was co-opted on Monday and we are really pleased to have him on board. Ian introduces himself as follows:

“I relocated to Swindon in 1984 joining WH Smith’s IT department (left in 2000), and have lived in Chiseldon for 12 years. I having now recently taken early retirement after a career in IT Service Management, covering both local government and retail. In the past I have been a parent governor at 3 local schools as well as serving on management committee for the local Bellringing Guild.
We moved to Chiseldon to experience a semi-rural environment with close ties to a major town. It also allowed me to continue with my hobbies of Bee Keeping and Bellringing.
Now have the time, my objective in joining the council is to manage change to the village while keeping its character, and improving services.”

Thinking about being co-opted – come along to a meeting or two and see what it’s all about…..
