Chiseldon Parish Council is looking to employ an Administration Officer to assist the Parish Clerk.

The role is part-time starting at 10 hours per week with the expectation that this may increase in the future as the workload of the Clerk increases.

The role will be part office based in Chiseldon when the Clerk is in attendance, and part home based at hours to suit the successful candidate.

We are looking for a motivated, energetic individual who isn’t afraid to take on a variety of duties and one off tasks.

Being passionate about local life in Chiseldon Parish is key; along with a “can do” willingness to get things done.

Your workload would be directed by the Clerk, who reports directly to the Council as a whole. Your line manager would be the Clerk, who would report on your progress to the Council.

No official industry qualifications are required for this role but you must be proficient in composing reports, emails and documents for public use.
The council would look to place the successful candidate on foundation training for Clerks to ensure they have the basic skills to assist in this sector of local government.

The salary for the successful candidate would be up to £11.50 per hour depending on experience and skills. Holiday allowance pro-rata at 20 days per year. The role would be subject to a 6 month probation period.
