A total of 62 people have been arrested this week (w/c 07/10/19) as part of the Force’s on-going campaign to target drug gangs involved in County Lines.
Approximately 50 officers have been involved in Operation Jetway over the week.
Following from our media release yesterday (10/10) a further three males were arrested yesterday evening:
A 37-year-old man was arrested at an address on Cloche Way, Stratton St Margaret, Swindon on suspicion of supplying crack cocaine and heroin.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested at an address at Forsey Close, Swindon on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.
A 30-year-old man was arrested at an address on Bosham Close, Swindon on suspicion of supplying crack cocaine.
Today (11/10), eleven were arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs:
A 27-year-old man was arrested in Swindon town centre
A 37-year-old man was arrested after a vehicle was stopped in Swindon
A 20-year-old man was arrested at an address on Station Road, Swindon
A 20-year-old woman was arrested after a vehicle was stopped in Swindon
A 30-year-old man was arrested at Lilac Court, Pinehurst, Swindon
A 24-year-old man was arrested in Swindon town centre
A 32-year-old man was arrested in Swindon town centre
A 21-year-old man was arrested in Swindon
A 21-year-old man was arrested at Membury service station
A 22-year-old man was arrested after a vehicle was stopped in Swindon
A 58-year-old man was arrested at an address on Rodbourne Road, Swindon
Also today: A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving after being stopped in Swindon

Detective Inspector Paul Franklin said: “The total arrested this week shows the level of County Lines activity taking place in Swindon and Wiltshire but also the amount of effort we as a police force are putting in to close these lines down.
“The work we have been doing incorporates all aspects of policing: enforcement, protection and prevention.
“We have made arrests to get to the drug gang leaders but also taken vulnerable people off the streets and out of the County Lines system – protecting them and hopefully, with help from partners, preventing them from falling back in to this destructive way of life.
“It was noticeable this week that we managed to affect the “Alpo Line” by arresting two gang members who feed County Lines in to Wiltshire. This was linked to a missing 17-year-old lad who was being used as a runner for this particular gang. We also,managed to arrest him and his so-called minder as well as confiscating two large knives.
“This has been a very positive week, not only disrupting drug gangs but also continuing our important work with agencies, the local authorities, schools and colleges to ensure everyone is playing their part in tackling County Lines.”
