Dear residents,

This month we are raising awareness of domestic abuse. As part of this, we are promoting Clare’s Law – the domestic violence disclosure scheme, which allows anyone who has concerns that their partner may be abusive, or may have an abusive past, to make enquiries with their local police force.

A decision will then be made on whether information is disclosed to the person at risk so that they can make an informed decision about whether or not to continue the relationship.

We know this may seem like a difficult step to take for anyone suffering in a relationship. Therefore, we have created a list of frequently asked questions to show just how easy this process is and the support you will be given.

You can read the information here:

We hope this helps anyone in need.

Thank you.
