Please note that due to the Hodson Road Closure, there will temporary changes to the bus service. Details below are supplied by Swindon Borough Council:
It will not be possible to maintain the current 81 timetable via Chiseldon during the above closure. To implement a shuttle bus between Thorney Park to Wroughton to connect with the 9 service to enable journeys between Thorney Park and Swindon on the same basis as the existing 81 time table will require an additional bus and driver.
Trips will leave Thorney Park at:
- 9:16 to drop at Perry’s Lane for 9:28 allowing passengers to transfer to/from the 9:31 service 9. The bus will then run back to Thorney Park, (effectively as the late 9:28 service 81 (due to arrive there at 9:39)
- 10:39 to drop at Perry’s Lane for 10:52, allowing passengers to transfer to/from the 10:51 service 9 (which will be told to wait). The bus will then run back to Thorney Park as the 10:52 service 81, due to arrive there at 11:04)
- 12:39 to drop off at Perry’s Lane for 12:52, allowing passengers to transfer to/from the 12:51 service 9 (which will be told to wait). The bus will then run back to Thorney Park as the 12:52 service 81, due to arrive there at 13:04)
- 14:19 to drop off at Perry’s Lane for 14:32, allowing passengers to transfer to/from the 14:31 service 9 (which will be told to wait). The bus will then run back to Thorney Park as the 14:32 service 81, due to arrive there at 14:44)
- It will then run not in service to Perry’s Lane and do the 15:33 service 81 back to Thorney Park (arriving 15:47)
Stagecoach will provide information so passengers are aware of the temporary arrangements.
