Join the team bright and early at 8:15am by the pond dipping area at Washpool Nature Reserve for a bird ringing demonstration. Bird ringing is an invaluable tool to help us monitor bird populations. This is a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the wild birds at Washpool and learn more about them and how we work to conserve them. Members of the North Wilts Ringing Group will be catching birds with mist nets, fitting them with uniquely numbered rings and releasing them. We expect to finish at about 11am.

Bird welfare is paramount, so in the event of inclement weather such as high winds or rain the event will not take place and will be postponed. Updates will be posted on Facebook. If you wish to be updated by email please send your email address in advance to washpool@gmail.com

This event is free but donations to the North Wilts Bird Ringing Group will be very welcome.
