Stay well this winter in Swindon

It’s important to look after yourself, especially during the winter. Cold weather can be seriously bad for your health. But the good news is there are some simple things we can all do to help stay well.

If you start to feel unwell, even if it’s a cough or a cold, don’t wait until it gets more serious – always seek advice from your local pharmacist.

Prevention is better than cure, so be sure to have the flu vaccination. The effects of flu are often underestimated and it’s not uncommon, particularly with more vulnerable groups, for it to result in being admitted to hospital. In the most extreme cases it can be fatal. You’re entitled to a free vaccine through your GP if you’re aged 65 or above, living with a long-term health condition, a carer, pregnant or a child aged between two and seven years old.
