A stylish new bar and restaurant will be open to hotel guests and park visitors offering an exciting dining experience in a contemporary setting. The menu, carefully curated by the hotel’s executive chef, features vibrant flavours and plant based options making it a great place to have lunch or dinner with friends and family whilst visiting Lydiard Park.

The Palm Bar will be open daily in the spring between 10am and 10pm featuring an extensive drinks menu including artisan gins, cocktails, beers, lagers and wines. Comfortable outdoor seating has also been added to the bar’s private courtyard to enjoy in the summer months.

The hotel’s largest function room, the Luxborough, has been tastefully remodelled into a modern open-plan, spacious area for events, conferences and special occasions with its own dedicated private bar. Boasting a 140 seat capacity and views towards the stunning Grade I Lydiard House and Estate Lake, the space integrates perfectly within the new development.

Making Lydiard Park Hotel and Conference Centre accessible to all users has been a major focus for the multi-million pound project. Floors have been levelled throughout all public areas and an accessible DDA compliant bedroom and new toilet facilities added. The Palm Bar also welcomes well behaved dogs and owners to relax and enjoy the classy new surroundings.

The renovation project has also included new roofing and flooring throughout to preserve the building for years to come.

Councillor Matty Courtliff, Swindon Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Heritage, Leisure, and Town Centre Experience, said: “This is something that has been on the cards for a long time and I’m excited to finally see the launch of the new Lydiard Park Hotel and Conference Centre.

“Set in 260 acres of beautiful, historic parkland, with stunning walks on its doorstep and high-quality dining experiences, the newly-refurbished hotel offers a fantastic location for a weekend break or business stay.

“Alongside works that have already been completed, this project is part of an ongoing programme to ensure this much-loved site is self-sustainable, which will protect its future as a publicly owned, council run asset.

“I can’t wait to visit and use the new facilities myself and I encourage everyone to do the same.”
