Work to transform Junction 16 of the M4 is progressing well, with over 10,000 hours worked on site in March. The import of clay continues, aided by the warm and dry weather, and the utility diversion works are ongoing. Again, these works are not expected to disrupt anyone’s supplies.

Please note that on the 24th, 25th and 26th April there will be some disruption to night-time travel as the slip road on the M4 Eastbound Exit will be closed for surfacing. Road closures will be in place from 8pm until 6am each day, so please plan your journey accordingly and use alternative routes.

The amount of clay imported onto the site so far is almost 7,500 cubic metres. This is equivalent to filling almost 70 double decker buses. Eventually 40,000 cubic metres of clay will be imported, which would fill approximately 365 double decker buses – a bus load of clay every day for a year.
