From Wednesday 30 November, the elegant State Rooms of the Grade I listed house will be adorned with traditional Christmas decorations including foliage arrangements produced by the Royal Wootton Bassett Flower Club.

The foliage decorations will add splendour and festivity to mantle-pieces and doorways throughout the house.

Councillor Matty Courtliff, Swindon Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Heritage, Leisure, and Town Centre Experience, said: “We’re thrilled to be offering visitors a Country House Christmas experience this December and we are extremely grateful to Royal Wootton Bassett Flower Club for decorating the stately home once again.

“Christmas can be a busy time for many, and we hope that the displays at Lydiard House Museum provide a memorable way for families to spend some quality time together over the festive season.”

A Country House Christmas runs from Wednesday, 30 November to Friday, 23 December.

Lydiard House Museum is open on Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 4pm (last admission 3.30pm).

Tickets can be purchased online or from the house on the day. Admission to Lydiard House costs £5 for an adult and £2.75 for a child (Under 3s go free). Family tickets are also available.
