Swindon Borough Council have let us know that there will be a forthcoming closure of Marlborough Road and part of Brimble Hill to vehicular traffic to allow us to carry out essential carriageway patch repairs.
The works are programmed to start on Monday 29th October and continue until Friday 2nd November with the road closure in effect 24 hours a day. The affected section of the road is Marlborough Road and Brimble Hill from the Three Tunns Roundabout to Wanshot Close. During the works, a signed diversion will be in place.
Wanshot Close will be accessible from the Chiseldon direction, but no access will be available to The Pitchens, Greens Lane or Overtown from Marlborough Road or Brimble Hill.
Advance warning signs will be erected next week informing motorists of the closure and a letter drop will be made to the households within the closure nearer to the time.
