Swindon Borough Council’s in-house contractor has just finished work to improve the surface of the cycleway which runs between Faraday Road and Dorcan Way, to the south of Dorcan Academy. The path was in a very poor state of repair with raised manhole covers creating trip hazards and several areas where low spots were causing sizeable areas of standing water after heavy rain. The vast majority of these issues have now been rectified, we’ve cut back all the vegetation and installed bollards at either end of the route to prevent vehicle access. We are aware of the street lighting issues on the path and are trying to get these fixed as soon as possible.
