Further to our letter of March 2021, we’re writing to update you on works to this bridge deck.
Upon removal of the surfacing and waterproofing, unforeseen erosion of the concrete bridge deck was revealed. This has meant additional concrete repairs had to be carried out and our planned reopening has been delayed.
The bridge will now re-open on 27 August 2021 ahead of the August bank holiday weekend. Please accept our apologies in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
