We’ve received the following from the Washpool Area Restoration Project (please note that the WARP are an independent organisation and not part of Chiseldon Parish Council):

Our next Conservation Day is coming up on Sunday 17 September and we’ll be on site from around 10am until the early afternoon. There are a variety of jobs to be done and some take as little as half an hour, so please consider popping down and lending a hand. If you can’t make the September date then there will be one more chance to get involved this year – on Sunday 19 November.

Thank you to everyone who has already joined the Friends Scheme. Our first newsletter will be going out later this month and we are planning a welcome event with a provisional date of Saturday 25 November. This event will be for Friends of Washpool only, so if you’d like the details then please apply to become a Friend using the form on the next page.

A small group of committed volunteers has spent the past decade making sure that the heart of Chiseldon is a green and pleasant space. If you enjoy walking through our beautiful valley and would like to see it preserved for another ten years then we really do need your help!

If you would like to learn more about the WARP’s work, please get in touch with them at washpool@gmail.com
