Local Crime Investigators (LCI)

Working in a Community Policing Team as a Local Crime Investigator is about supporting police officers with investigations, and in many cases becoming the lead investigator on the case. An LCI is a rewarding career with plenty of variety – you will interview victims and witnesses, question suspects, examine evidence and prepare reports for court. You will work days and evenings including weekends, so you need to be very flexible and must have a full driving licence. Previous experience in investigations and interviews is essential, ideally in a judicial environment, plus a methodical approach and ability to work accurately under pressure.
Closing date Friday 14 June. Next training course starts February 2020

Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs)

PCSOs provide a high visibility uniformed presence within the community offering reassurance and tackling minor criminal and anti-social behaviour. You will be working with others to tackle a host of issues, which affect the quality of people’s lives and provide advice and support to victims of crime and vulnerable members of the community. PCSOs work to a shift pattern, which will include days, evenings and weekends.
Closing date Friday 21 June. Next training course starts January 2020
