All Aboard At STEAM As Kids Get In For £1

The school holidays are almost here and that can mean only one thing – that children can visit the STEAM Museum for just £1.

STEAM’s Kids for a Quid offer is available from 27 July to 2 September and will mean that up to four children (aged three to 15) can visit STEAM for just £1 each when accompanied by a full-paying adult.

It means that parents can keep their children entertained without having to break the bank.

Cllr Garry Perkins, Swindon Borough Council’s Cabinet member responsible for STEAM, said: “We are delighted to offer this fantastic deal to families. This award-winning museum has so much to offer that we are encouraging as many people as possible to come along to enjoy it.

“STEAM’s Learning Team will be running some terrific family drop-in activities over the coming weeks. From climbing aboard the train simulator to having a go on the seaside pier vintage slot machines, the museum has something for everyone.”

The first drop-in sessions are entitled All Aboard the Holiday Express and take place on Thursday 2 August from 10am to 12 noon and from 1pm until 3pm at STEAM’s Exploration Station. It will give children the chance to make their own train out of recycled household items.

To take up the offer, visitors need to print off the Kids for a Quid voucher from the STEAM website at www.steam-museum.org.uk before arriving at the Museum.

STEAM is open every day Monday to Saturday between 10am and 5pm and from 11am until 4pm on Sundays.
