We’ve received the following information from Swindon Borough Council:

A new specialist Early Years centre for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families will open for stay and play sessions next month (allocation of places is based on certain criteria and follows an admissions process).

Based in a former nursery building on the site of the Everleigh Centre in Penhill, it will allow more families to access specialist support.

The centre includes a soft play area, sensory room and a space for parents to socialise. Find out more.

Cllr Adorabelle Amaral-Shaikh, Cabinet Member for Education, and Mayor of Swindon, Councillor Imtiyaz Shaikh, visited the centre on Wednesday (14 May) to meet the team and tour the centre ahead of its opening
