Any residents wishing to vote in the Borough and Parish elections on Thursday, 4 May need to make sure they’re registered to vote by 17 April. Voters normally only need to register once, but they will need to register again if they’ve changed their name, address or nationality.

Voters will need to bring an accepted form of photo ID to vote at a polling station. Anyone who doesn’t have a form of accepted photo ID can apply for a free voter ID document, which is known as a Voter Authority Certificate (VAC).

More details are on the Swindon Borough Council website.
