Highways England have reduced the eastbound offslip down to one lane to allow them to reposition the service chambers.
They have also begun embankment work on the bottom southeast corner of the A419 and civil work on the south side of the roundabout.
At the end of the month Highways England are planning to resurface the first section of road.
