The previous committee decision was to crown the tree. Our consultant advised that the tree is mature so will not grow further. Should it be crowned it will start to grow again with bigger leaves and longer branches so the PC will then have a 3 yearly commitment to crown the tree. If the tree is not crowned it will not grow any further.

A proposal was made to report back to the resident with the consultant’s finding. To review the decision at the Sept meeting and also consider the tree in late autumn when the leaves have fallen. If the decision is made to cut the tree down then it may be easier at this time. The proposal was seconded and all Cllrs were in favour.
