Washpool Area Restoration Project (WARP) volunteer work day

The Washpool Area Restoration Project (WARP) committee are having a volunteer work day. No need to book or register, just turn up.

The committee themselves are all volunteers who work hard to keep the area looking good for everyone to use, and also care for the sheep.

If you’d like to turn up to give them a hand you’d be very welcome – supervised kids are also welcome. There are drinks and cake to fuel you. Even an hour of your time would be most welcome.

This year’s event will be held in memory of Owen Rees Gibbon, who along with his brother John, was instrumental in helping to organise the festival and attracted the best model railway layouts and demonstrators to the Swindon show over the last 21 years.

More than 20 high quality model railway layouts will be part of this year’s event, all of which were specially selected by Owen before he sadly passed away last year.

£14.50 for adults, £11 for seniors & students and £9.70 for children. Under 3s go free!
