PLANNING NOTE. (Bio-Diversity Net Gain) A reminder to councillors that the new Gov BNG policy should be checked against the relevant applications to ensure the applicant has stated the method for their 10% BNG increase. (house extensions are excluded from BNG). SBC are the body for controlling BNG.

To note, as of 20.6.25 there has been no confirmation from Swindon Borough Council for a date that S/OUT/24/0982 (land at Hodson Road) will be heard by their planning committee.

11. Rec Ground improvement.    To receive any update from Cllrs Ford and Stevens who, with council approval formed a focus group for this project.

To note that the Clerk wrote to the Estate Trustees to provide an update on the Heads of Terms   received and request that a land lease of 99 years was considered. (No update from the estate as of 19.06.25)

12.  HIGHWAYS.  To discuss the progress made with obtaining quotes from contractors for the2 phases of work at Draycot Foliat. See additional information.

13. HIGHWAYS. To vote on whether to replace/repair the marker gate at the far end of Hodson. See additional information.

14. HIGHWAYS.  Parish Gateway signs.  Follow up from previous meeting.  Designs from Signway Supplies are the same as supplied to South Swindon PC. The committee to review and answer the questions from Signway Supplies to obtain a specific quote for gateway signs for review. See additional information.

15. HIGHWAYS. Parking issues on Castle View Road green. Discuss and vote on measures to protect the area with rocks and hedging. See additional information.

16. HIGHWAYS. To discuss and vote on any action to take with regards to No29 Carisbrook Terrace where an access route to the rear garden has been created onto the PC owned track to the Rec hall.  See additional information.

17. HIGHWAYS. To discuss and vote on any further action to take with regards to “Hill View” on Marlborough Road where trees and hedgerows have been removed leading to a potential issue with the public footpath that runs to the rear of the property. See additional information.

18. HIGHWAYS. To discuss and vote on residents suggestion of longer double yellow lines on Station Road with the junction of New Road. See additional information.

19. HIGHWAYS. To discuss and vote on the marker gate at the Swindon end of Hodson. Repair/replace or have SBC install the 30mph sign on a pole. See additional information.

20. Neighbourhood Plan.   To review proposed changes/omissions from the examiner and vote on whether to include or exclude, or change. See additional information.

21. Neighbourhood Plan. To vote on the councils understanding that Swindon Borough Council has updated its Local Development Scheme (LDS) and any impact on the Chiseldon Neighbourhood Plan.  See additional information.
