Drivers may have noticed the layout at Junction 16 changed on Monday, 26 February and we would like to apologise for the disruption this caused you. The team has increased the signage which has reduced the congestion.
Please remember that the traffic lights currently in operation are set to a fixed time sequence which is not reactive to traffic but they will be reinstalled as soon as possible.
There will be some necessary overnight works which were previously postponed this weekend.
Planned upcoming closures between 8pm and 6am:
Tonight (Fri, 9) – Swindon Road, A3102 and Westbound on slip road
Saturday, 10March – Swindon Road, A3102 and Westbound on slip road
Sunday, 11 March – Swindon Road, A3102 and Westbound on slip road
We are also planning to resurface the entire roundabout in a series of overnight shifts from Monday, 19 March. There will be some lane restrictions and temporary closures in place which will allow the team to complete the work and keep the roundabout open. Visit the Junction 16 webpage for more details.
