The team would like to thank you for your ongoing patience during the construction works over the last week during the overnight closures of the A3102 (Swindon Road).
Inside the northern section of the roundabout the contractor is continuing to carry out earthworks, drainage and culvert works. At the M4 westbound off slip nearside the base layer of the new road is being constructed. Between Hay Lane and the Swindon Road, the new footpath is beginning to take shape and work on the verge is ongoing. On Swindon Road the overnight works have enabled removal of the existing carriageway to join the new construction into the existing asphalt, installation of new drainage, and some surfacing and road markings.
This month the site had a visit from the Considerate Constructors Scheme, and it was assessed as working to an ‘Excellent’ standard. Congratulations to the team at Hochtief.
