The Easter holidays are just around the corner and a whole host of activities for all the family will be taking place at Lydiard Park.

The Great Lydiard Park Easter Trail will take place from Saturday, 20 April to Monday 22. Children will have the opportunity to hunt for clues hidden around the lakes, woodlands and lawns of Swindon’s historic park to solve the puzzle and be rewarded with an Easter surprise.

The trail costs £5 per child and people can drop in between 10am and 3pm at the Coach House Activity Centre to collect a trail sheet.
Lydiard Park is also running the popular Kids for a Quid promotion between Friday, 5 April and Sunday, 21 April. Children aged three to 15 can visit Lydiard House and the Walled Garden for just £1 when accompanied by a full-paying adult.
Families will also be able to visit two new special exhibitions at Lydiard House for 2019: Visions of Lydiard and Celebrating 75 Years.
Visions of Lydiard showcases a selection of paintings and photographs from the Lydiard House collection, which illustrates the last 70 years of the estate’s rich history.

Lydiard Park’s second exhibition, Celebrating 75 Years, tells the story of the extensive restoration work which took place after Swindon Corporation purchased the Lydiard estate in 1943.

Lydiard House is open Wednesday to Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from 11am to 3.30pm – under 3s go free.

The Forest Café and Coach House Tea Rooms will also be open for refreshments throughout the Easter holiday period.
